Description

New "family" recently moved in to rented house. Apparently, they are modern day gypsies. Since moving in, they've done nothing but cause trouble. Instances of domestic abuse, child abuse, noise issues between 11 pm - 3 am, and garbage littered all over the street. The police have been actively involved, but would like to ask that if you have any problems with this family, please report it to the police!

I've called the police about the woman one night she was screaming heard head off yelling help please stop help... I call police and she told police there was no problem she was just going to the movie theater... Even the 911 dispatch heard her screaming for help and nothing was done dodnt ask us whats going on why we called the police

On and off they do still yeah. I hear them yelling and slamming doors sometimes when I get off work late at 2 or 3 am

It’s not quite as often, but they are still screaming and fighting in the yard 1 or 2 times a week, usually in the middle of the night. They hang out in the garage playing their music with a ton of bass and always end up fighting.

Duly noted. Since it is late at night when no one is monitoring Hammond 311, please, make sure to call 911 to report noise complaints. We can label it a nuisance property with enough police calls out to the property for legitimate reasons. Thanks!

Thank You for the information. I will monitor activity at this location frequently. I was unaware of the problems at that address. I observed a vehicle in the driveway yesterday with temporary registration. I will check on this vehicle to see if it gets registered in Indiana.

I tagged the Silver SUV on 10/17 fro 10 days. Il. expired temp registration. Code Enforcement / P.D. processing for a possible eviction. ( FYI)

We are working with the owner to inspect the interior next week. Sgt. Muta is correct concerning the owner pursuing an eviction; he has not begun the process yet but plans to ASAP. He has court for being a nuisance property at the end of the month.
