George, how is the OP going to walk to stores on Vine by walking at the Chagrin Park...

This forum is for constructive postings to get things fixed for the health and safety of the citizens of our community. Whining nasty provoking comments like George's are uncalled for.

I count on this bike path that is flagged for much needed repairs to get me from Vine st to LSB and visa versa. I rode my bike once along the side of 91 3 years ago from Vine to LSB and an Eastlake cop stopped me and told me it is against the law for me to ride on SR 91 because it is a divided highway with a speed limit over 40 and that I needed by law to use the path, that is why it is there.

I agree that this is a serious issue that needs to be fixed. Despite the fact that our nation is in a difficult financial position, nearly every local government agency still has some resources to address the most pressing problems. In my opinion, this is one of those problems that should be prioritized. Keeping this road in good condition will make the area much more bike- and pedestrian-friendly, and will thus contribute to the long-term economic improvement of the Vine St. stores and the area nearby.

The north end of the path has dirt and debris all over it, and the kids at the childcare throw mulch onto the path. Eastlake in general looks terrible. The entire city is so unappealing. I'd be ashamed to be running this city! It's very trashy looking!

I agree it looks terriable! The city sited me and made us re-paint our fence saying it was rusted when in fact it really wasn't that bad looking at all. We take pride in our house and yard. I wanted to site the back for the way the fence on 91 bike path looks!

Plus the money the city wastes on tearing out little pieces of road and replacing the concrete in it cost more in concrete the way they do then it would to replace a whole road, seems like shady business to me

And Geore "Go walk in Chagrin River Park off of Reeves" I do almost every day and that path at least the 1.6 mile loop path is beatiful! plus when your walking in the woods you should see sticks in the paths, it nature but there always picked up when I walk.

The condition of the bike path along 91/SOM, regardless of economy and/or alternate paths, is an embarrasment to the city.
