Description

I can't change the location here, but I am writing about the speed bumps that were installed at the intersection of Mayberry, Water, and Willow streets earlier this week. I am wondering why this was done. I have lived on Mayberry Drive for over 35 years and never seen a problem at that intersection. Sure, there is the occasional rolling stop, but never a problem. My husband and I also walk often, and drivers ALWAYS stop for us to cross. Why was this done?

If it is deemed to be necessary, I worry about plowing of that intersection. How will that be done?

If it is definitely needed (and I strongly feel it is not), the speed bumps should not stretch across the whole street. What that does, is make it so that drivers need to drive slowly after stopping, and then drive slowly through the intersection to cross the second bump. If the speed bumps must be there, please consider removing one side and just having them at on the Stop sign side of the street.

Thanks,
Wendi Comey
