yeah! I hate them, too! Like asking us to order "the
Oakland Press". Even if we do, we'll STILL get this
trash dumped on our driveways. It is LITTERING,
plain & simple. FWZ
I agree these dumpings should be considered by the authorities as LITTERING. I have been trying since February to stop this. I have called the delivery manager Dwight Major 248 745-4536 regularly. Leaving messages and on a few ocassions speaking directly with him about the problem. I told him nobody wants this trash and to stop leaving it at my house. He said he would stop it. NOT!!!! It's still coming. I have left several messages for his boss John Lazzeri 248 745-4700 with no response. Everyone should call these people. I have noticed that if I'm outside when they drive by they don't throw one. Would really like to catch these guys. Another thought is to collect all these papers and drop them off in front of their office on Huron St. downtown Pontiac.
I live in the same neighborhood and I agree. If I don't pick up their trash fast enough it rains and then I have a big pile of wet mush to clean up. I thought about putting a sigh in my front yard but that would only encourage some young punks to throw trash in my yard.
I've called and written the distubitors without success. We confronted the guy throwing this unsolicited trash and his reply: "I'm just earning a living".Than he threw the baggey wrapped paper and drove away. I've threatened the distributor with a lawsuit if I break my snowblower again, on papers hidden under the snow...no response. Litter is litter whether someone pays to have it thrown, or if its randomly tossed. In fact, these papers are worse, because they are purposefully thrown.
I contacted the Oakland Press and told the circulation department that I have been a subscriber for over 20 years and if they ever threw another bag in my driveway I'd never buy another paper as long as I lived.

Magically they disappeared.
