Leave him alone-what would the world be like without people like him in it?
Although I would be concerned for his safety- yes I have passed him too.
Maybe someone should nicely say something to him.
Personally I love seeing him there- he makes my day. As long as he's not peddling drugs or planning to blow up the bridge or causing any harm, I have no problem being watchful for him. I wonder what music he's listening too there.

Well the police from Lower Providence and Collegeville ask him to leave the bridge on a daily basis, because of the distraction he causes. So I'm glad you enjoy him, but I'm sure your tune would change if someone hit your car because of him.

If someone hit my car, it would be because they were not paying attention. If they can't look at him for only the amount of time it takes to decide that he is safely out of their way, and they need to sit there and gawk at him to see what he will do next, then it is their fault- not his. I am more concerned with people who use their phones while driving, along with the idiots who do not jnow how to go over the bridge and stay in their own lane as they head out of C-ville. They go around the curve and just don't know how to stay in their own lane- probably because they pay attention to things they need not.

He does not wear a sign on his back saying- "hey stare at me instead of the road."
He is not even trying to get anyones attention. He is just living his life.
He is a pedestrian. If it were a different pedestrian each day on the bridge at the same time you are going over it, what would the diffence be? If you are that easily distracted, maybe you have a problem too. Pay attention to the road.

People don't take the time to see that he's singing. He's standing in the middle of a bridge with hIs arms raised up in the air. People call 911 because they think he's going to kill himself. In turn tying up 911 lines that people with real emergencies might be trying to call on. So people, maybe that guy on his cell phone was just concerned for the guy in the middle of the bridge. And hopefully the three 911 calls in on this guy aren't keeping the last three call takers in the 911 center from answering a call from a family member of yours that needs an ambulance. So the drivers on the bridge aren't just staring. Some people realize the world isn't sunshine, gum drops, and unicorns. The police see the danger here. I just wish this guys care takers would.

If what he wants to do is kill himself- then that's his perogative.
People should just ride by and not pay him any mind. And yes, if he is in a bad way, then his caretakers should be taking better care of him. But really- he needs not take anymore of a persons' time than it takes to see that he is not in your path- just as one would with any other pedestrian.

JohnESez- just to clarify- I ride by there everyday and see him most days on the bridge- he is never "In the middle of the bridge" as someone stated- he is on the pedstrian path looking down over the water or up at the sky. He is behind the wall- not in the traffic.

This guy is nuts he needs to committed. He is going to get someone killed along route 29.

Just because someone is different than you does not mean they need to be commited. People want this fixed because they are scared not because they are concerned. The only people they are concerned about are themselves. He's not harming anything so let it be.

1. He is not trying to be a distraction, hes just doing his thing. He isnt making anybody stare at him, you choose to, so saying he is constantly a distraction to all drivers is like saying flies cause s***

2. Just because he may be a little slower than the rest of us doesnt mean he needs to be committed, they used to do that a lot a long time ago..ever hear of what happened at Pennhurst??

3. Very true, drivers on cell phones are worse off than rubberneck drivers who look at something or someone on the side of the road, everyone has done that

Are you for real--"He's a distraction"? Get off our cell phones and pay attention to the road in front of you; If they didn't want people on the bridge, there wouldn't be a walk way for pedestrians. I am sure you are rubbernecking causing all the delays on 422, as well. He's not hurting anyone. It's a free country, last I checked.

I drive over that bridge everyday and I have never seen him standing in the middle of the road. Who cares what he's doing

You people need to get a life and leave the poor man alone. Stop paying attention to him and pay more attention to the road. He's not hurting anyone.

I am totally in agreement with all of the last comments on here LEAVE HIM ALONE!!!!!

How do people propose to "fix" this? Is the man committing some crime? If not, nobody has the authority to remove him, nor should they. Get over it.
