Like so many other traffic lights in Albany, never synchronized.

This intersection along with many others are a huge PITA! This one in particular holds on a red light forever in the evening!! , going up w. Lawrence at Western towards Washington Ave. I literally sit there close to 5 mins with no traffic passing- I think this light holds red for 2 light cycles-in the other direction! Cars run this light assuming it’s broken or frustrated or they back up into to the rest of us to cut through the gas station.

When it’s actually busy... since the 2 lights (Madison Ave and western Ave) aren’t sync’d... cars are constantly blocking incoming traffic. Only 4 or 5 cars can fit between this light... but the other 5-10 additional cars somehow think they drive mini’s and can fit or are entitled to block in coming traffic.

On top of the cluster of car issues... this intersection has a decent amount of pedestrian usage.. With bus stops on all corners and I can’t imagine this cluster being safe for them.

This was never fixed nor are any of the traffic lights in this city synchronized. Between this and the roads being so bad, it feels like we're driving in a war zone, it's no wonder people move outta here.

At one point these lights were synchronized and it worked really. It's a mystery why the city messed it up.

No mystery, they put new lights up and never synchronized them. The old ones were.
