I checked on this but the road is not maintained by NCDOT. It is a private road which means the property owner, developer or neighborhood would be responsible for fixing it.

I checked on it too. found out the same thing. I have no idea who the owner is. I'm sure the owner has no plans whatsoever to repair it. the only other ways to get a petition signed and take it to the county. so nothing can really be done. it sucks because I rent through Century 21. messes up my car almost everyday. have to drive extremely slow. just isn't fair

so I don't know the owner is, developer is probably dead, the whole neighborhood rents!, their has to be some way to hold of the person that either owns it or has ties to it???? if I could just find out who is in control of , at least I could talk to them and find out what the problem is, somebody is getting rich, and just collecting rent money, and just letting to road rot!! nothing has been done in 30 yrs. it's horrible

You could ask Century 21 if there is a homeowner's association and who owns the property, they were hired to manage it by somebody. If it is multiple property owners one of them may know who the developer was or what the original agreement on the road was.

theirs no homeowners association, no one manages it. Century 21 won't say who the owner is out of privacy.I guess I could go door to door and ask if anybody knew the developer was, but people move from longbranch rd. a lot. then once I found out the number of the renter, then maybe I could talk to them and find out the name of the developer. man that's a lot of investigation. when I first moved here the rd was bad, then they raised my rent $50 after the 1 st yr. maybe if you showed how bad the road was someone would come forth and do something about it. if the owner would paid for the material, I would be glad to fix it for free. and many other people too that live here, we are all at a loss what to do, looks like were just stuck with what is here and nothing we can do about it. and that is just a fact. we have no voice or a leg to stand on

I guess I could write a letter to each unit down longbranch rd. and I will at least find out who the developer is! maybe we could all not pay rent until the rd. is fixed , hahaha fat chance that happening. thanks for trying to help, doesn't seem like their much I can do

I just don't understand why I have to pay a company like Century 21 $700 a month for a 2 bed room 1 bath, and have to drive down a road that is tearing up my car everyday, I have gotten a flat tire, steering alinement thrown out , oil pan knocked lose, causing my oil seal to come out of the engine on a $38k car 1969 karman ghia. all because of many deep pot holes and road falling apart on sides of the road. and I'm just one person that lives and drives here.

No one will fix the potholes

Road is still not fixed up and completely screwed up. rent is now 7 25. any ideas how to get this road fixed from anyone

If you have tried to contact the party responsible for maintaining the road and they have not responded with a solution, you and your fellow residents living on that road may want to contact WECT-TV and ask if they can help. Explain what you have tried to do to get the road fixed.

Nothing is still been done. I have contacted Francis well or with wECT tv6. I have talked to every single person that lives down there No one knows who the owner of the road is. The road is now even worse I've done everything possible I have no other idea of what to do The road will never be fixed. WECT will not come down and do a interview. They have been asked and nothing has happened except can you do this can you do that. I think if we put it on the news the owner will come out I need someone that is a lot more skilled at finding out who the owner is and a way to get in touch with the owner. We are now looking at 20 years of nothing being done to this road. It is slowly becoming a dirt road all the way from a paved road

Contact New Hanover County. The Register of Deeds should be able to tell you who the owner is.
