Description
Last January 2017, a vehicle knocked down the no parking sign (on the side walk in front of my house on Charles St.) and smasked into the block wall around my yard. The officer that spoke with me that day and said that he would contact someone to A. take away the car parts (that the hit and run driver left), and B. to have the no parking sign replaced. The sign is still sitting on my lawn where it landed. The huge semi trucks that try to get around the very tight corner and the inability for a motorist to safely see around the corner is made much more difficult by people parking in that spot. Charles st (at this end anyway) is too small to have parking on both sides of the st. The no parking sign had just been replaced at the end of 2016 and I was really appreciative about that. They also replaced other no parking signs and moved the stop sign to the end of the road. Please come pick up the no parking sign on my lawn and please put a new sign up. The old sign was just to the right of my front gate. Thank you for your time and consideration. Diana L Danforth
