Just wondering, did you contact owner of property? If you did, and you are following up, then I will leave issue closed.

Nothing has been cleaned. Backyard remains a junk yard and we are experiencing rat droppings.

I am not sure that city code would cover this situation. I drove by the house and they have kept the front yard up and maintained. Unless they are keeping organic garbage in the back that draws rodents I doubt there is anything that can be done code wise. With the close proximity to the flood control channel rats might be expected not to mention the open field across the street. I have had a few rats and mice here and I am much further from the channel. You could set traps along the fence line and that might help the rodent situation.

Not resolved. If anything, there is a fire hazard waiting to happen. I feel for the owners, but they have grown men living there that could do something about the health hazards.

Actually had similar situation and code enforcement did help. They have to be able to see it from street or side yard. I would stay on the subject of fire hazard plus bio hazard from cars leaking fluids

BackYard has not been corrected. Still a fire hazard. I did see the city truck in front of home last week. Could it be that problem will be solved?o

Update: Cleaning up started last week, slow but making progress. Back patio looks like its going to fall, hopefully they fix it because somebody could get hurt.
