Description

Westbound on Irwin St NE at Fort St NE, there is one right hand turn lane onto the 75/85N on-ramp. However, drivers routinely turn from the middle westbound Irwin St NE non-turn lane thinking it is a turn lane (the 75/85N ramp possesses two lanes). Turning from the middle lane regularly puts drivers who turn legally from the turn lane into the far on-ramp lane at risk. I personally realized this risk as seen in my APD accident report (#130150501-00) and attached photo. This behavior occurs non-stop during rush hour and can easily be observed. Painted arrows and a road sign, neither of which exist at this intersection, would resolve this matter.
