Hi , You would need to contact the Traffic Commision to request the changes to install the 4 way Stops that you are looking to have installed. Please contact the Malden Police Traffic Department @ 781-397-7171 and ask for Kathy Hannon she is the clerk to the commision.

I have been working on this issue for sometime now. Mayor Christenson, when he was the Ward Councillor brought this issue to the traffic commission and they voted NO on putting in the signs. I have brought it to the traffic commission a number of times and for one reason or another it has been shot down. BUT I am not giving up! I will once again re-introduce the issue and would WELCOME anyone who would like to see it happen attend with me. Contact me and I will be sure you get notified when the meeting is and we can organize a plan.

As so many people know, If you don't live on the street, you will not care. We need to slow people down with speed control signs and put a stop sign on Cross street making it a all way stop at Hancock St / Cross St.

Please quit dragging your feet.

I would rather see traffic lights. This is a dangerous corner. Also there is 3 times more the traffic and also a shortcut for many. I think the traffic lights would be better.

It is a shortcut, but putting in a light would cost the city more money. The sun hits the hill just right and the cars that park right a the corner does not help anything. People going 40+ up and down Cross St. does not have time to stop for someone exiting Hancock St. Also, with no speed limit signs on Hancock St. Make Hancock St. a Speed zone into and out of Everett to bypass Mass Ave. The City knows this but does not care. It has gone onto their desk for well over 4 Years now and for that My wife, child and I are moving. We will not live in a city where the city does not care for its people.

Yes Ive lived here next street over since 1971. Allways bee accidents but never like now.I only mentioned the light because if you ask for the light we may get a stop sign.Ive walked my dogs many times and almost have gotten hit many times as a pedestrian. They fly down my street Acorn at 40 plus as well.In the past 2 years many houses have been hit as well. I agree totally. I believe there supposed to be a stop sign at the Hancock/Cross Street intersection but they run that sign anyway. Hey Im on your side.I dont want to see anyone get hurt or killed there.I think this new Mayor will get it thru. Maybe we can get a partition going demanding the City to do something.

It has been on the books for well over 4 years!

Just clocked some people going 45MPH to and from Everett!
