The City of Kingston is NON RESPONSIVE to this public safety hazzard.......business as usual

The wheels of government move very, very slowly (no excuse but a sad fact)
There are teams of engineers out there now doing the surveying for new signals and crosswalks. Since this project is part of the NYS DOT it has to go through studies with engineers and then it will go out to bid for a company to actually do the work. Money has been allocated and it is on the schedule.
New lights, crosswalks, and (hopefully a new sidewalk) will be part of it.
I agree...it is a very dangerous intersection and has been ignored for way too long.

Noticing that the wheels of government move slowly is one thing... accepting that is another. Indeed, observe the quick reply from Andi: good government can be very responsive. My first thought was, gee, if the Mayors office and KIngston Common Council were composed of all Andi Turco-Levins: hard work, clear communication, interest and respect for the publics input... yeah, that would work!

They have fixed the intersection (although the walking buttons are reversed - but that is on a separate issue.
