Description
The Broadside newspaper has set up a distribution box chained to a utility pole on Salem Street near Lafayette Place. This does not seem appropriate or legal and we would appreciate seeing it removed. Our neighborhood does not have other newspaper distribution boxes, they are unsightly, and their contents very often become litter in the streets. Is there a permitting process for those who wish to install newspaper boxes like this one? Thank you for your attention to this matter.

This is not about free speech. This is about private, commercial enterprises blocking the public sidewalks and using public spaces without permits. The Broadside is not a public resource.
