The new lanes (on 39th street) due to the addition of bike lanes are not clear of snow and many drivers do not know they are in two lanes (straight and turning). This causes confusion and congestion at this intersection.

I certainly won't forget the two Councillors that voted against the addition of the bike lanes when I vote. Mr. Stephen and Miss Veer will get my vote!
I digress.
City of Red Deer I disagree, this has not been completed. I drove past it just an hour ago and saw carnage in the "lanes". It still looks the same. I will take additional photos to prove this.
Lets actually get some real movement towards a solution here please.

But what about an insurance company suing the city over these issues (bike lanes & the confusion of snow covered bike lanes and no one knowing how many lanes are on the street and at the intersection) when a motor vehicle accident occurs. These are important factors when considering and determining fault --- any outside influences, such as being distracted or turning improperly in the intersection.

Can something be done about this troll?
Following me to a new issue and making NO SENSE when he posts his rambles?!
I'm ok with criticism but this nonsensical talk that is OFF TOPIC should be limited.
Public roads versus PRIVATE PROPERTY. I realize that I stated I would not respond to your comments any ore but this had gone overboard.
STOP!
You are making yourself look bad and no one will take your issues or comments seriously.
Admin: can't this trolling behaviour be stifled? If you look at all of this members potlatch you will see they are inflammatory and just looking to get a rise out of users.

I posted this comment before thompson posted his last entry but it has not shown up here as yet..........Here it is again.......Apparently....." to win a lawsuit against a municipality, an injured person must demonstrate that the municipality failed to have in place a reasonable system to maintain the sidewalk".....why not a road where snow is not removed from bike lanes which causes confusion and congestion. Is there a reasonable system in place to maintain the bike lanes in red deer during the winter? Please refer to the following article...... "

Can I add to this that perhaps it I not a snow removal issue but a paint issue.
The lanes are not clear at all since the additions of the bike lames. Just yesterday we were in the turning lame going west on 39th street a truck honked at us thinking we were in his lane!
The paint that is visible is the old lines and the actual lane are missing due to wear.
I travel this road daily and sometimes multiple times... I'm finding it hard to establish where my lane is anymore... And I'm a daily driver on this road, I couldn't imagine what it would be like for people who aren't familiar with it. There is still mass chaos at this intersection.
Thank you to our hard working city workers that are trying to come up with a solution to this mess the politicians created for all of us.
