I tend to agree with you. However, they ARE there and as long as they remain so, should be enforced. Just because it's stupid doesn't mean it should be ignored. If we only followed rules and obeyed laws we agreed with...

I see children playing in that parking lot often. There is quite a bit of traffic in that area and if the parents cared enough for their children's safety, they would have them play somewhere else. The lack of supervision makes me question the parents ability to raise their children properly. It isn't a private residential driveway, it's a public parking lot. And the sign is probably there so the police can give tickets when they feel like it.

I would think, like playing in the street is illegal, the same would apply to the parking lot. But like other laws, are not enforced. It's all a game, and you have to call your own fouls/self-enforced?
