If the tree is on your property, it is a private tree and you are solely responsible for its maintenance. The City cannot remove private trees. We would only trim branches from a private tree hanging into the public way when the branches are creating some public safety hazard.

The tree is on my property and all branches are trimmed on our site but not on the street. The tree is old and branches need to be trimmed asap from the street site for the public safety. Please advise. Thanks.

Please keep in mind that even though the branches of this tree overhang public property, the owner of the tree is legally responsible for maintenance and responsible for any resulting issues. The City will go by, but we trim only if there is an imminent public safety danger. Hard to see that from the picture, but I will send arborist by to take a look.
