So what can we do about this? Does anyone know who can enforce this? It really is a quality of life issue. I've heard motorcycles that are no louder than a car so I know that its not the nature of motorcycles. I think the people who ride loud motorcycles like it. Any help is appreciated.

The worst I have heard them riding until the early morning hours and it is so loud at my house. Sometimes it sounds like they are at a motorcross it is so constant and loud.

I honestly can't imagine there is any way to enforce this though.

Well, I would really like to keep this issue alive and appreciate all those who have a comment about it. I'm not against motorcyclists. I think its great fun to ride but there is no reason to have open straight pipes or modified exhaust systems. I agree that it is a hard law to enforce but I'm still willing to try. I will be posting a video with sound and hope that someone who can do something about it comes forward. Thanks.

I believe that there are less loud motorcycles. I don't know if this is a coincidence or if we are actually making a difference. In either case, it is a good thing.

The loud pipes on motorcycles get your attention, if you hear them you know they are there and if they are quiet you don't, which motorcyclist are you more prone to pull out in front of and cause an accident or kill the motorcyclist?

While I realize that motorists are careless when it comes to respecting motorcyclists it still is problematic to have such blasting engines tearing through the countryside. It is illegal to have those open pipes. Lights and reflectors should give enough warning without having the loud engines. While I sympathize with your sentiments, I doubt that loud (illegal) pipes would prevent that many accidents. I'm open to suggestions but until I hear something workable, I'm still against the illegal pipes.

Despite the cooler weather, loud motorcycles continue to blast on thi road. The issue is being closed, I give up.
