The normal Wednesday yard waste pick up has been suspended until the entire City has been traveled once, for storm debris pick up. Staff is out everyday working neighborhoods systematically (from north to south). They are presently working large piles in Capri and will be heading to Palms by the end of the week. Palms is estimated to take approximately one week. Smaller pile removal has moved faster and is now on Paradise.

I agree with the first gentleman. How can it possibly take this long to clear yard debris from the storm. For weeks we haven't seen a truck in Sunset Beach area. I do the yard work for our 5 unit condo homes on 92nd avenue and this weekend will be adding more brush to the already enormous pile which virtually blocks our entrance. If you are working north to south it will be weeks before you get to us!!!!! Not fair. I'm sick of hearing in the press how everything is wonderful at the beaches and 'back to normal'. It certainly is not back to normal for us tax payers who live here ! Please get a truck down to Sunset Beach streets as soon as possible.

We haven’t seen any trucks in Sunset Beach area streets but miraculously the press is saying the beaches are open and everything is ‘back to normal’! It is certainly not back to normal for the tax paying citizens who live here!! If you are working north to south it will be weeks before you get to Sunset Beach area. Not acceptable!!!

On September 12 and 13, 2017 the day after Hurricane Irma passed though Treasure Island, the Sanitation Division removed over 9 tons of Yard Waste and cleared the streets of Sunset Beach. The debris removal will be an ongoing activity until all debris has been removed from the entire City of Treasure Island.

Also, in addition to the storm waste I noticed that the population of homeless squatters is rapidly increasing in the vicinity of the Mc Donald's and the new Chase Bank. I am sure that the Gulf Blvd.
pedestrian traffic from the Bilmar and Thunderbird will not be impressed and may never come back here. I think its time to do something about this quickly!!!

I'm tired of getting the same stock answers to my posts. I'm also tired of looking at this brush pile slowly kill of my lawn while it invites the next smoker walking by my house to set it ablaze. This is why I have resorted to the tedious and time consuming process of hand cutting the pile into tiny pieces that will fit into the grey cans. You can thank me later for doing your job. Also, the tipping will stop from this point moving forward.
