Please leave Hamlin Park as it is, please do not locate any city services there, preserve the woods as they are, please do not do any construction there!!! Those woods need to be preserved for the kids in perpetuity! Everywhere else is built up already, where else can kids (and adults!) go who live nearby and go to school nearby to walk in the woods?

As you may be aware, the City Council has not made any decisions on locating a new City maintenance facility in Hamlin Park, or on other City property(ies), nor on the possible expansion of Brugger’s Bog Park. When a formal proposal is brought forward, the City will host public meetings on the proposed project. The City Council will make any final decisions; likely to occur next year.
For more information I urge you to visit the City’s webpage at:
http://shorelinewa.gov/maintenancefacility. On this web page, you will find frequently asked questions, in-depth background information, next steps, an evaluation of several City properties for the maintenance facility, and an analysis of locating a City Maintenance Facility in Hamlin Park with the associated expansion of Brugger’s Bog Park (as mitigation for using a portion of Hamlin Park for a maintenance facility).
You may also be interested in signing up for ‘Alert Shoreline’ for the latest information on this project. More information on Alert Shoreline, including an opportunity to sign up, can be found on the City’s website at: http://www.shorelinewa.gov/government/departments/police-department/crime-prevention/alert-shoreline.
