Description

My family as well as so many other in the Lower Burns Park neighborhood use the FOUR crosswalks across Packard multiple times a day (4-6x daily!) With our transient community of students and commuters going in and out Of downtown via Packard, isn’t marking these pedestrian crosswalks with SIGNS substantially safer for pedestrians? When shadows/sun casts unevening across the road it is almost impossible to see the lines let alone when the roads are covered in snow! I appreciate the city elevating awareness for pedestrian right of way and safety, but it makes more sense to me to put up a series of yellow signs!!! Please, please consider! I have voiced this to our council member in the past but as we are back on the routine of walking and riding nicks back and forth to our elementary school and I believe signage is at least a start to addressing this safety hazard. Thank you!
