The road sign is a township issue, as it belongs and is missing from a township street. Farmington ave is a township street, which is missing a sign.

People do not understand the difference between private property and public thourofare!

I almost hit a child the other day that ran out in between two cars parked on Laura Ln. I couldn't even see them. The only way I didn't hit them was because I am aware of this issue and was driving REALLY slow. Please do not park on Laura Ln. You are endangering your own children by doing so.

Parking in this area was supposed to be on one side of the street however, that has never happened. Many people do not slow down in this area and there are small children riding bikes on sidewalks who roll out into the road and almost get hit. Dogs that run out between parked cars - even when on leashes (retractable leashes). Fortunately most residents go slow in this area but there are still a large number that go over 20 MPH and anything above 15 in this section is dangerous to everyone.

Dedicated roadway as of a few months ago. NOT Private property. If the PD gives tickets for parking the wrong direction, they can ticket for unsafe parking.

Again, your ignoring the fact that this roadway was dedicated as per the township meeting minutes. I will continue to open, I have all day to sit here and annoy you. I am sure you are one of the people who carelessly drive too fast and are going to have their luck run out at the expense of some poor child being killed.

I wish people would be this enthused about going to the township meetings and getting involved. We'd get more done as a community.

As for the rest of the comments unrelated PARKING ON LAURA LANE... find another forum to express yourselves. Illegal..no...inappropriate...yes.

This banter is unproductive and frankly devalues the useful nature of this website.

The primary solution is to call the Police and report vehicles that are parking in the street in an illegal manner. Since that has fallen on deaf-ears, then the next step is to either have a meeting with the Chief or go to the Township meeting and request that the area be posted for "no parking" or at least patrolled regularly and ticketed. If you want to organize this effort here, then please feel free to reopen the ticket so long as YOU take an ACTIVE role in affecting change. Stating that it remains open without further action on your part does not help your cause.

Does anyone know if there is an intact Homeowner's Association for Woodbrook Estates which is where this issue is occuring? This may be the place to start. I am a resident of this development and have never received information on this. That being said, when the road was dedicated, there was information posted at the mailboxes (I believe from the township) quoting township ordinance and stated the specifices of who could park where and the required clearance between vehicles parked opposite of one another on the street. As a homeowner, but more importantly a parent, I am concerned not only about the parking, but the rate of speed at which many cars travel through this development and the fact that no one seems to adhere to the fact that there is a stop sign at the intersection of Laura and Brynne Lane. There are children who live in the homes close to this intersection and it is my fear that it is only a matter of time before a child is hit and injured. UPPD patrols frequently and I believe there are at least 2 State Police officers who live in this development. Something needs to be done.

No issue there are no illegally parked cars on this street that I've seen EVER!
