Good Morning, A formal request would need to be made for a new traffic signal and signage through the Traffic Management Advisory Committee (TMAC). The TMAC meets the second Wednesday of every month to discuss and make recommendations regarding traffic related issues in order to make sure that action items are compliant with traffic safety rules. This request will then be forwarded to the Town Manager's Office so it can be added to the TMAC Agenda. Once your request has been added to the agenda, you will be contacted regarding the meeting time and place when the TMAC will discuss and make recommendations to your concern. If you have future requests, request forms to discuss traffic safety issues may also be sent directly to the Traffic Management Advisory Committee (TMAC); the forms are available on the town's website at www.needhamma.gov . The intersection of 4th Ave and Kendrick St will be evaluated after the ramps on the north side of the Kendrick St bridge have been constructed and put into use. Once the traffic pattern acclimates itself to the new ramps, 4th Ave can be re-studied and a determination made as to whether the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices warrants have been met. If so, a signal will be proposed.

In the meantime a suggestion would be to exit left onto Kendrick St from Needham Crossing would be to use Third Ave which has a traffic signal and a dedicated phase allowing safe turns.

Just a heads-up, this issue is on the agenda for the Traffic Management Advisory Committee's monthly meeting on Wednesday September 18, 2019. I just found out last minute from the city website.
