This is the same pole that has been reported in 3 prior reports since the hurricane. It is NOT a FPL pole. It keeps getting closed by assigning but it never is fixed. The pole is carries INTERNET and TV not power. It is several blocks from a Frontier building, so either is not theirs or it was orphaned by Verizon when Frontier took over the territory. It is going to fall and hurt someone or something, at which point the question will be why this problem was not solved. PLEASE GIVE THIS REPORT SPECIAL ATTENTION. It is not easy to solve by the normal process. Thanks!

Thank you for making us aware of the situation. Sarasota County does not maintain or repair Telephone or power poles. Frontier main numbers for these type of issues is 1-88-457-4110 or 800-432-4770. .

Sorry - I seem to have mis-communicated! I do NOT know WHO owns the pole. It could be Frontier or Comcast or Verizon... PLEASE do not put it back on the citizens to figure out who owns the pole to get it fixed. It is going to fall on a county road, and the history of reporting is going to be damaging when the county gets sued... Sure they county can determine who owns the pole and make the notification?

The pole is located on the side of the road. Presumably an Easement on, what I believe, is County owned property. I do not feel it is my responsibility to determine who owns the pole and then contact them. The County should follow through on this repair.

If you determine that it is not County owned property then please tell me who owns it and I will Contact the property owner. I have looked at the GIS maps and honestly believe it is County owned property.

Further, perhaps the County can have someone drive down Bay Street (in Osprey) and take a look at the overgrown vegetation on all of the Utility poles.
