Hello from a Neighbor. This kind of thing is generally known as "traffic calming." The image of the road being narrower is apparently demonstrated to cause drivers to slow down. I think it would a great idea for Streets to keep on eye on whether the accelerated degradation of the asphalt you suggest, takes place, to determine whether to keep doing this around the City.

An anonymous SeeClickFix user is upset they cannot use East Ave as a racetrack rather than the city street it is (◔_◔)

It definitely seems to push cars wide making it less friendly to bikes.

Hardly the case RJ. I see these around town, typically beaten up and an eyesore. Seems counterproductive to damaged a brand new road.

Brand new road and the potholes have already started where the surface integrity was altered and compromised.

The Department of Public Works has resolved this request. Thanks for helping to keep Burlington a great place to live and work.
