Town ring. Can this be fixed? The metal loop that sticks up above the gate that is near the shed that is supposed to make it easier to get in and out of the gate on horseback has always been a hazard. I’ve had hundreds of close calls with the kids over the years with either lead rope or reins getting looped around the metal handle/loop. Tuesday, it finally happened. Dancer got his reins looped around it, he pulled back and dragged the gate half way across the arena. We got the gate back on, but I took the loop/handle out of its slot and off the gate and put it into the shed. Something secure for closure of all gates. The double gate always seems to bust open as well and horses have gotten out.
