Why was this closed?? No work was done and the problem is still there.

Hi Randy, thanks for your feedback. It is possible that, since "Pothole" service requests create automatic work orders, that a pothole was repaired near this area, but didn't address the manhole issue. Can you provide us with some additional information to locate the manhole you are referring to? Either an adjacent business, nearest cross street, if the manhole is in the street, a sidewalk, or a driveway? We will open a new "Manhole" Service Request and send someone to the area to investigate again if you can give us some more information. Thanks for your patience and for using 311!

Thank you Chris. I appreciate the response. Here is some additional information...

The manhole cover is on S. Shepherd, in the right lane heading north about 30 feet past the Harold St intersection. It is next to the Honeybaked Ham store in the Randall's shopping center. Here is a link to Google Maps showing the manhole cover: http://goo.gl/maps/mRNuE

This has been a problem for a LONG time.

It's a very dangerous hazard

Still a major issue and may damage your car.

This has not been fixed and there are three separate outstanding issue reports for the same problem within a 50 feet range. It's been reported several times, so should be escalated to higher priority for repair.

I think this has been fixed!! Hallelujah!!
