You will need to file a complaint with code enforcement 238-3381. They will give you a number and its best to call back in a week to see if an inspector went out. Ask for the inspectors name and number and call back in a month to make sure the inspector has contacted the property owners. This the only thing get done.

Typical Oakland response. They have a fancy system for receiving complaints with not enough personnel or organization to respond in a timely manner. I don't believe anything will change until we hold our Mayor and City Council members responsible. The city should also do a full audit of the Public Works department to see what they are doing on a daily basis and to promote more efficiency.

I am citizen just like you. People need to know that PWD is not going to refer these issues to code enforcement or do any follow though. With no viable leadership in city hall nothing is going change unless the voting citizens force change. As far an audits go's do we even have a working auditor I do not think she has ever set foot in her office since being elected.
