The City won't do anything. We are all high and dry on this one. I pluck them and trash them, but it should be the City enforcing its laws. I see police and City officials drive by them all the time and not do anything--real helpful. How about some undercover work to find the perps and make some arrests??
Our inspector has picked up the signs mentioned near this address. She did not locate any signs on utility poles, but will keep looking. She is also riding surrounding streets today to try to address any other signs that have been placed on the right of way.
Please note that we have about 4 inspectors on duty to cover 150 square miles of City at any one time. These signs are posted all over town and despite more than 8 citations issued to the primary culprit they keep popping up. They consider the fines to be cost of doing business. The inspectors work hard but cannot keep up with all of them, so any help we can get from citizens who discard the signs on public right-of-way is greatly appreciated.
Glad to see the City doing its part this time. Thank you. There were a lot of them yesterday at New Bern and Tarboro. That whole area of East Raleigh usually gets hit bad. I would check up Raleigh Blvd., from Glascock to MLK, and the MLK/Tarboro intersection, too.
