Description
There are several maintenance holes in northbound Fremont Ave. between 175th and 185th that need to be adjusted to the roadway surface elevations. The holes are directly in the tire paths and set so far below the roadway elevation that drivers swerve to avoid them and damage to their vehicle. Drivers are swerving in the lane and creating a safety hazard as oncoming vehicles (and vehicles behind) are unsure of the driver’s intentions. Furthermore, this distracts the drivers and shifts their attention from driving in a safe manner.

These are manholes that need "risers". Ronald Wastewater is aware of the issue and will be responding.

This is a public safety issue that has been brought to your attention, and closing this comment by stating that it's someone else's problem is incorrect and could even end up a serious financial liability. This is City of Shoreline Right of Way, and it is the City's responsibility to keep it safe for the users. It may be Ronald's WW financial obligation to take care of the problem, but ultimately the City is the owner of it and should be working to resolve it quickly.
