Description

Hello I am a paying resident at 20012 204th Ave Big Lake Minnesota and on 10/15/2017 I (Drake Smith) reported by phone at approximately 11:57a.m. to big lake local police station that noise regulation 525.13 was being unlawfully broken at the residents of which I rent from. Officer Sam Olson responded at 12:10 P.M. and even thought that according to 525.13 that it is unlawful to use tools powered by air compressors outside of the hours of 7am-8pm Mon-Friday and 9am-4pm on Saturday's within the city limits of big lake minnesota and even though it is Sunday 10/15/2017 and the land owner was performing the construction using air compressed tools Officer Sam was not going to enforce that regulation or law when it's the home owner's property, when I asked if the report was going to at least mention the proof and recognition that it was being used outside the city's regulated timeframe's, even if the officer wasn't going to enforce it even though the offenses regulation section 525 does not state that depending on who's property & operating the tools will it optionally be enforced, Ofiicer Sam only informed me it would be mentioned that it was childish for me to have called in when the home owner with hired help is performing the work, even though as I stated before the cities noise regulations were clearly being violated by definition. Which is the least the landlord can do and abide by when he decided to rent out his home for an extra earned income, in common sense of landlord curtesy.. Since this issue was not professional handled by officer Sam Olson of the Big Lake Police Department who I was informed were the people to call to enforce City Offenses being violated or broken they're in charge of enforcing them. I wanted to report the claim and have the report filed properly by the regulations, which I did and was informed of my wrong doing when it was properly reported with the regulation in hand for exact phrase reference. I wanted to report the complaint of officer Sam Olson's unprofessionalism on 10/15/17 to City officials along with also to the chief of police Joel on Monday as well. The City of Big Lake MN should not tolerate this kind inconsistent enforcement by it's paid public law servants.
