Description
There has been a blue van parked on federal street for about 6-8 weeks. We've called the police station already and they said it would be towed, but that never happened. This van hasn't moved in months and is taking up two resident spots. It doesn't even have a resident sticker, it has a visitor pass. It's a Blue Ford Freestar Minivan, license plate 5FT747

CB, this is nothing new, but how do we change it? seeclicklfix is a good tool for tracking issues, but the City doesn't seem to care if things are resolved in a timely matter or not.
I'd like to think we have an elected representative in ward 2 that would monitor and advocate for any issues in seeclickfix that are in their ward, but that doesn't happen in ward 2. Outside of here I email our representative, and I used to get replies, but I haven't had a reply to an email in over 6 months.
Where are our neighborhood associations in all of this? hopefully they look at seeclickfix and note issues in their neighborhoods. Maybe they could even add a comment that they are following up on the issue?
I'm hoping our new representatives after the November election, whoever they are, hold regular surgeries for their constituents so that we can pass on our concerns in person.

ClickFix issues highlight this problem on a daily basis.
If contacting them and/or the mayor's office directly does not help, then residents know what they need to do. Elected officials should represent the people/residents of Salem. Time to wake up to that fact.
