I have been advised that city ordinance does not allow speed bumps to be installed on city streets. I have made patrol and traffic officers aware of your complaints and several of them have advised that they have made numerous passes through your street and have written citations when applicable. they will continue to do so. I realize it is hard to get a squad there in time when you call, but it is still more effective than trying to park a squad for any extended length of time as we are literally getting the same complaints all over the city that must also be addressed. I', sure that doesn't make YOU feel much better about your situation but I wanted you to have some understanding of OUR situation also.

Keep in mind that if a squad does stop a car speeding down your street, the actual stop probably wont occur on your street. Most likely it would be a block or too away on Hohman or State Line as it would take a few seconds to catch up and activate the emergency lights, and a few more seconds for the driver to actually notice and react to the lights.
