Of course it won't result in any action. Parking enforcement doesn't ever do anything.
And yes, probably inmate-related, but I doubt he dropped an inmate on the corner.
This is an officer who thinks the law doesn't apply to him. 311 agrees.

I don't think they typically take inmate in through the front door (there are indoor/underground entrances for that).
This is egregious officer behavior - it endangers the life of, among others, the guy on the mobility scooter who is barely in the picture on the left - regardless of whether we enforce parking rules against against cops.
This officer didn't do this out of necessity. That would be one thing. He did it for his own convenience.
