I travel numerous times daily on 102nd Ave from Antilles Dr. in Seminole
The majority of the traffic flow on 102nd Ave is East/West, West/East and is not North/South, South/North. This intersection is a mess because the traffic light favors North/South Traffic. Additionally since the new Crosswalk at 102nd and 113th is almost complete, the right hand easy turn is no longer there and has slowed east bound traffic even more. I have never in 25 years seen the first person cross that intersection on foot. Why in the world was there not a dedicated right hand turn lane put in instead of another obstruction for people making a right hand turn. A large size box truck will need two lanes to make that turn or it will be up on the curb because it is so sharp

Even though there were no pedestrian or bicycle facilities at the intersection of 102nd Avenue North and 113th Street North - there were mothers with baby carriages, Osceola Middle/High school children walking and biking to and from school, and people in wheel chairs crossing this intersection.
We have had numerous requests for crosswalks at this intersection in the 13 years I have been with Traffic Engineering. Hence the reason for this project.
The intersection is still under construction - so you may wish to take another route during the construction. Once construction is complete and traffic is back to normal - the signal timing will be assessed by the Traffic Management Center.
After construction is complete - please call the Traffic Management Center at 727-464-8926 if you are still having unreasonable delays.

2.) The constituent may not be confused - See-Click-Fix automatically enters your location - so she could have been sitting at 102nd Ave N and Antilles when she was entering the data.
3.) The two-mile walk route for Osceola High School runs west to at least 117th Street North. So yes, the intersection of 113th Street North and 102nd Avenue North is in the two-mile walk route. Pinellas County has received phone calls from parents who were inquiring about their child riding their bike to Osceola HS/MS - from west of 113th Street North.
