That lot is, I believe, city property which makes them responsible. It would be nice for the business owners to clean up trash in their vicinity. However, it's ultimately the responsibility of Fair Haveners to have some self respect and clean up after themselves. The city has plenty of trash cans on the street. But if residents refuse to use them, and continue to accept those who dump on the streets rather than use the coupons offered by DPW to use the city dump, then the sad state of this parking lot will continue.
