Description
42 Palisade Avenue has been left undeveloped for over 9 years and the City allows it to be kept. The residents have spoken out publically for years and nothing gets done. 1 owner owns contiguous parcels of land in that area and all are rundown, abandoned or unkept. No one has forced demolition at this point. Can the state of New Jersey Condem the properties.
This is an ongoing problem in our city and it needs to stop. Someone has to be responsible to clean up this abandoned properties.

I dont know any other town that sits back and watches a city go to trash. How can you allow a residential area to fall apart and. It hold the property owners responsible
To fix up their land.

dare allow this owner to leave his property undeveloped and a eye sore to the community. The owner doesnt care and the city doesnt care. Its a shame that the residents have to live with this type of negligence. I feel like a broken record as my comments are the same. Leave this post open to prove that the City of Garfield is turning to Garbage literally.

so yes, the problem area is still a problem. the city has to keep leaving notices to cut the grass, remove snow etc.
This is a crime.

We have complained over and over again and our city department heads just dont care. It is apparent that rhe city will not step in.
This is so disappointing to the residents that have to live here.
Nothing will ever change, I am afraid.

I want to be clear that this property had a home that caught fire twice (mysteriously). the owner demolished it around 2001. So it has been 20 year all together. I opened this forum 2010 and have added comments for the last 11 years. Mind blowing to me.
