Description
Same issue different week. The trash containers for this complex are located on Bermuda Street, a residential street. However, the residents at this complex abuse the trash containers. They leave the containers overfilled with loose trash to spill into the street, dump their unused furniture (see mattresses for the 2nd week in a row, and the bins are used as a dumpsite for a landscaping business, and anyone else who drives up ( see mini containers now left too). I have contacted code enforcement 4 weeks straight-NOTHING DONE! I've contacted the city, who I believe had last week's mattresses removed, but as you can see nothing was done to keep the residents to continue to treat the neighborhood street as their personal dump!! The city needs to enforce an area inside the complex to keep their trash since the complex can't learn to properly throw out their trash per the city of Tucson's rules and regulations!!!

Melissa,
Thanks again for submitting your request. We are in contact with Code Enforcement and are following up on this address. Please know that it is likely action has been taken. With repeat problem properties, even if given a notice of violation, they are given some time to clean it up. I will follow up and make sure that this is in process.
We will get this resolved via Environmental Services or Code Enforcement.

Hi Andy,
Thank you for your quick response. I appreciate it a lot! I wanted to make you aware that this issue has been ongoing since February 2017. I have made numerous calls and was advised of the time frame that was allotted to the owner to correct the issue. Which I completely understood. However, despite the several months it has not been corrected, it has only escalated. That is why this month I have been more persistent as the City advised if I don't call in and make the City aware of the issue they do not know there is one. This site I also found at the beginning of the month and I think is great as I can post photos to show that I am not exaggerating or making a mountain out of a molehill. This situation is unsanitary, un-neighborly, and just plain wrong. Bermuda Street is a residential street; however, from my property you would think it is the neighborhood dump. I am embarrassed to have guests over and can not enjoy the front of my property due to sight and at times smell as the bins don't close from overage, and the loose trash that is dispensed into the bins. I am now asking if the City Director or Management can review the property to see if there is a location in the complex to keep the alley bins so they are not on the curb at all times. Or if a large metal bin can be used as the other apartment complexes have. If the complex chooses to have their trash all over the place than that is their business, but they should have it in their yards. I don't see why I and other residents on the street have to bare the burden of their violations spilling into our yards and street to clean up. In addition, if there collection area was not on the curb of the street at all times it would also solve the issue of dumpster divers and illegal dumping, which I have contacted TPD about on 3 different occasions and had advised me that the bins should be moved.
Again, I do thank you for your response. At least I know someone is actually aware of the problem.
