Description

I believe a traffic study is necessary for this stretch of West Side Avenue (bet Lexington and Communipaw Avenues) Particularly between the hours of 3:00 pm and 7:00. Traffic is noticeably at standstill regularly in the Northbound side. Waits can be up to 10 minutes or more to go three short blocks. Buses, feeder streets, (Lexington, Roosevelt Avenue, and Clinton Aves) All contribute to the problem. The traffic light at Communipaw Ave appears to be the chief problem (timing) it switches to red too quickly.
