Description

My name is Eleazar Rios, Parent of Marcos Rios who is enrolled in Dixon ready ride, on Nov. 2 2017 I got a call first from CA jacobs School telling me that the ready ride driver took a few kids back to the school grounds because they were being disruptive, I then got a call from ready ride 707-678-7442 to tell me that my son was not home because he was taken back to school for being disruptive, but the story my son and other kids are telling is different from the driver's version, my son's version goes like this: he got on the bus and he told her his first and last name Marcos Rios, driver: are you getting dropped of at the fruit market? Marcos: yes, by the way I get dropped off first by the other driver. driver: well you're not getting dropped off first today! Marcos: well I always get dropped off first, then he went to sit with his friends and commented to them how rude the new driver was, the driver then proceeded to drive towards Gretchen Higgins School where she dropped off 1 kid and during this time Marcos said she was making hard stops at intersections and accelerating harder than the other driver normally does it was noticeable enough for all the kids to be concerned, apparently this driver was not having a good day, they continued to talk and were laughing out loud when the driver told all the kids that they were being disruptive and if they kept doing that she would drop them off anywhere, the driver said nothing after that and drove back to CA Jacobs School, she stopped in front of CA Jacobs office and asked everyone to get off except for 3 or 4 kids that were in the front and 1 of those kids was calling her "Mom", the Vice Principal and a counselor went to the bus and talked to her, then both went back in the office and told the kids to call their parents to pick them up. I can certainly see some issues here with this bus driver, she could have handled the situation in a professional manner and I don’t believe the kids were being disruptive other than just having fun an being loud, that is what kids do, if this driver cannot be around kids she should not be driving them to and from School, my son says he has never seen this driver before and has never had any problems with the regular driver as they all went about doing what they do every day on the bus. I believe it’s only fair to ask for this driver to be dismissed or not allowed to drive our children as there were hints of reckless driving by my son, and it’s obvious this driver was not happy in her job.
