Description
Bike lane suddenly ends into curb with no indication of cyclist/motorist merge. This occurs right at the point where vehicles need to watch on their left to ensure traffic is stopped before continuing, and cyclists who were in a previously isolated bike lane are now, without markings or warnings, forced merge into the lane.
This issue and others on this stretch could be avoided simply by making this short section of Pinellas Point drive marked shared (removing the double white lined bike lane) and returning the approach to the intersection of Pinellas Point Drive South and 25th way south eastbound to two -SHARED- lanes, one for stopping, and one for yeilding right hand turns onto southbound Pinellas Point Drive.

Re: the comments from Community Activist, the segment noted in this post was resurfaced earlier in 2017 and the adjacent segment of Pinellas Point/Roy Hanna was resurfaced from just east of I-275 to 22nd Street in 2016.
I concur that where the curbs narrow to less than 14' that the bike lane should be ended in advance of the choke point and there should be Shared Lane Markings along with "Bikes May Use Full Lane" signage. My understanding is that the striping and associated signage updates have not yet been completed following the resurfacing earlier this year.

That road is in shambles and has not been repaved in over 15 years and is a hazard to cars and bikes!!
