Description
What the heck is going on with the 40th bridge? Work Has Stopped! WFH? Why? Pedestrians and bicycles can't cross the bridge, Cars have been squeezed in through tiny barricades put in place. Why have no repairs been done. Work Has Stopped, we are being inconvenienced to either reroute or attempt traversing these super skinny lanes. This IS very dangerous additionally risking property damage. If work was being performed we'd understand. But Nothing is being done. @#$% or get off the pot!

How about a little communication from the city regarding this issue? Periodic updates would help instead of just leaving us all in the dark about the bridge. Is it being repaired? Replaced? How about a timeline for when we can expect this issue to be resolved?
Also...it is ridiculous that the city has started posting a motorcycle cop trying to give people tickets for speeding and capitalize on its own failure to resolve this issue.

Please do Not rebuild this bridge without raising it at least equal to Snell Isle Bridge. Honestly, It should be slightly higher than Snell Isle due to the potential of an eventual rebuild of Snell Isle (in the future) Don't work backwards, move forwards with a plan designed for 10-20-30 yrs ahead.
This will raise property values, thus increase tax values as we attract larger vessels to this vital area. Don't give us any BS about not having enough landing area for a taller bridge, we aren't asking for a skyway bridge. Look at "Thrill Hill" Bridge or even Snell Isle Bridge which is even shorter than 40th bridge. Thanks for the update.
