Description
Where to begin?
-Homeowner does not reside in the house, and uses the residence to grow and sell marijuana. Homeowner hauls bags of soil into the basement under the cover of night. Garden hoses can often be seen routed into the house from the outside. The block REEKS of marijuana plants (emanating from this house), especially during “harvest season” (every 3ish months, when random people swarm the house for a week). Property was reported to Ferndale Police in Spring of 2017, but no discernable action has taken place. The smell of crops has been thick for the past 2 weeks.
-Tall weeds in front of the house. Broken glass on sidewalk since spring 2017.
-Backyard is an overgrown jungle mess (grass, weeds, etc). Rats can be seen coming from the backyard in the evening and early morning hours.
This property is an eyesore to the neighborhood, and the activities that transpire there are likely illegal. As mentioned previously, this property has been reported to the Ferndale Police Department. It’s absolutely appalling that the city is willing to let the homeowner consistently treat the property this way, and it’s completely disrespectful to the rest of the neighborhood.
