Same thing has to be done at the charter school on Salem Street. Sometimes it will take 30 minutes in the morning to go from Broadway/Salem Street to Malden Square. What a mess. Is the City looking into
Solving the traffic mess? Maybe they can look into changing the light cycle at some intersections like Maplewood Square during rush hours.

Afternoon is the same, when school gets out, but not the lights, who cross adults on a whim and let cars out of the parking lot with out reason when there are more cars on the road backed up.

We are all well aware of the amount of traffic in the morning and afternoon caused by school drop off and pick up. The police department can and has monitored traffic flow around all of the city schools. Unfortunately there is no where to move the traffic along to. I understand how frustrating it is to sit in that traffic on a daily basis. The police department will continue to monitor traffic around the schools when resources are available and cite any motorists in violation of the traffic laws.

They were doing a good job for a while. So it can be done. It’s just not being done Anymore. Regardless of your response, That is what is currently happening. I appreciate you taking the time to answer though.

Area will be monitored intermittently
