Description
There is a bike trail sign on the corner of 2nd St S and 17th Ave SE directing bike riders east on 17th Ave SE. The sign directs you onto the sidewalk, but there are curbs all along the cul-de-sac preventing access to the road. So, the only option to access 17th Ave SE is to ride east on the sidewalk about a block to reach a broken concrete driveway that allows access to 17th Ave SE. Is it possible for another ramp to be added along the west side of the cul-de-sac curb here to allow immediate access to 17th Ave SE without having to ride down the sidewalk?

The Coast Guard by pass road was installed at the request of the neighborhood in the early 1990s to severly limit traffic through the neighborhood.
Barriers were erected for that explicit purpose.
It is clearly not impossible for cyclists to enter and exit the neighborhood as currently configured.
I oppose the expenditure of taxpayer money to fix a nonexistent problem.

The City of St Petersburg periodically reviews past reports that are made from citizens within our city limits, and in an effort to clean-up old issues that were resolved some time ago, we are marking as 'closed' those issues that were submitted in the past for which the work has been completed or the issue has otherwise been resolved.
If you think for any reason that the issue you submitted in the past might still be unresolved, please feel free to submit a new report with the SeeClickFix St. Pete website and we will make sure the issue is directed to the appropriate City department to be addressed as soon as possible.
Thank you - MAC
