Why is this issue closed after only 20 minutes? Goes to show how much this town wants to enforce laws and help with issues

THE POLICE WAS REPORTED! I pay taxes in the town, why was this issue closed after only 20 minutes??? The police are reported every time this happens.

We pay taxes and want to keep a safe clean neighborhood. Some people are inconsiderate of their neighbors so that is why people use this site. The police were called as I saw them going to the house with the party. There was also trash blown around and another neighbors mailbox was taking down by probably a drunk driver leaving the party. We pay high taxes and the town needs to step up and do something. No parking signs to start on both sides of the street would be a good start. Don't close these without any action, again the police were called and nothing else was done. What needs to be done for someone to take some ownership?

Curious as to why these cars weren't tagged for all night parking. This whole episode is unacceptable and should not be ignored, I don't live anywhere near Army Street, but I know this goes on in other neighborhoods too and it seems the police do nothing to end the destruction of property, overcrowding of streets by parked cars and drunk driving.

I am another Army Street neighbor who saw the cars and also had my mailbox run over last year by someone at a party at the same house. While i agree that the parking, noise and property destruction are problems, I don't think this site is meant to address these things...

Hmh, where might you suggest these issues get reported and tracked? This is exactly the right place for it and I agree with the user above having no parking signs on both side of the street is where this should probably go. There are little children that ride bikes on that street and having cars parked on both side of the street where the street is so small to begin with, does not make it safe. If the signs are there then these people can't hold these parties, their guests will have no place to park.

Many of us are trying to make this a strong and proud community...and we here this message from the town council often, now it's time to put it to work. Will someone act on this issue? It's a chronic safety issue, drunken driving, keeping a disorderly house, property damage...it goes on and goes against all that we are working hard in this community...help us out!!!

When people are being disrespectful of their neighbors, all you can do is call the police. Gone are the days of civil / courteous neighbors who actually care about being a "good neighbor". People drive like aggressive morons, litter in their own neighborhoods, light off fireworks at all hours of the night, have parties that rage well into the night, completely thoughtless of others who have kids asleep or like many others have to get up early in the morning to work. It is simply more evidence of the declining culture within our town.

I apologize for not commenting sooner as I was away last week at training. I believe the first step to any issue is communication. Has anyone who complained above spoken to the neighbors that host these parties? Has anyone notified the police at the actual time of the violations? I will respond to the area today and I will attempt to speak with everyone who is home. In the future, please contact the police station at 781-963-1212 at the time of any violation. We will work together to resolve these issues. Thank you

I knocked on every door of every home on the street and spoke with several residents. Everyone that I spoke with this morning reported that they have not experienced these issues or any on-going problems. They were all aware of a few mailboxes that were damaged, but they did not have any suspect information. I also advised everyone to have people park on one side of the street and off of neighbor's lawns if they were going to have a gathering. I would like to handle this situation on a case by case basis, so please call the police station with any complaints while they are occurring. Thank you

Why would you come out on a Monday when most people are at work? Nobody knocked on my door!! Not to mention there are other neighbors that live behind Army street that hear these parties that start at 11 pm on week nights and go till past 5 in the am. It would have been nice if you had come out on the wkend or evening when most people are home. Police ARE called every time. Did anyone check the police logs? Holiday season is coming so I bet there will be ranging parties on Christmas and New Years on the street again just like last year.

Hi Kevin, thank you for giving the other shifts the heads up I'm also a neighbor around the corner and have heard these parties that start during the week very late and go into to the morning. I leave for work at 4 in the morning and I've actually encountered people on my lawn from this house party. The parties happen when there's a holiday so like the other person above said definitely expect some calls Christmas and New Year's. I just spoke to another neighbor who had emailed the town manager regarding this and town Manager David was to talk to the chief of police and they were going to possibly look at how to manage this as far as may be putting signs up of no parking. Is this possible the street is very small when these parties happen even if you don't park on the lawn where would emergency vehicles get by if they needed to when there's so many cars from these party goers? This neighbor also was working when I guess you went by knocking on people's doors as he did not speak to a police officer he said. Really appreciate something getting done and that this doesn't get swept under the rug.

Signs are not the solution...people will still have parties, but just park further away in front of other people's homes. Additionally, signs do not allow for ANY exceptions. If a resident of the street was having a child's birthday party, someone was having work done on their property, a small cookout, nobody would be allowed to park on the street for any reason. I spoke with the homeowner at #15 and advised them to have people park on one side of the street and to stay off of people's lawns. Also, if the parties are too loud and the police need to respond more than once to have the music turned down, the parties are shut down. If the street is blocked in any way, we will tow those vehicles. Nothing will be swept under the rug as long as the neighborhood stays proactive and calls the police whenever there is a violation. As soon as the music becomes too loud, the people in the street are being too loud, vehicles are parked on lawns or blocking the street in any way, just notify the police. If the reporting party wants to speak with an officer, just request it and notify them that we have been working together to fix these issues. Thank you

Found this from the police log of this year. Was this the mailbox that was hit? Since the person that hit it came from this house party, wouldn't it be neighborly for the person that threw the partyto pay for and install a new mailbox to the person's that was hit? Notice the time of the issue:
