Description

Tall grass on east edge of Hillstown creates sight line issue when turning left or right onto Hillstown from Bush Hill Rd. This grows higher as summer continues. Town discussions went nowhere last year, requested Police traffic assessment, instead got Zoning Officer with predetermined attitude after several calls to coordinate meeting at location.

Doug, I believe the property owner at the SE corner of the Bush Hill / Hillstown intersection owns the grass though the grass is clearly within the several feet the Town has legal rights to. After this bout of rain, the grass seems to have grown considerably taller making the site line increasing difficult. As it grows taller it forces westbound Bush hill traffic to extend their car's front end into Hillstown before taking a turn either L or R. Taking a L is especially dangerous since your cross lane exposure time is greater to ~35-40 MPH + northbound Hillstown traffic. Thank you for asking.
