Is it just me, or is the stoplight in the middle of Hampton Roads Center Parkway a complete waste? Instead of people who need to get to that business park having to drive an extra mile, the city puts up a stoplight in the middle of a heavily-used 55 mph road, making those cars come to a halt so that 1 or 2 cars can turn into the business park. To me, that is ridiculous, and that light should be taken down. Also ridiculous is the way-too-long merge lane to get on Hampton Roads Center Parkway from Magruder Boulevard. Why make a merge lane so long, but put a concrete barrier up so that you still only have a matter of feet to merge? This area should have never been messed with.
