Description

snow removal from city sidewalks. Walking from the hospital to downtown the sidewalks alongside the Montrose Cultural Centre were very hard to walk on. The snow has not been removed and now is frozen into lumps, where people have walked through there. So from 103 Ave to 101 Ave. the sidewalk does not appear to have been cleared yet this winter. I don't know if the Library is responsible for it or if the city is responsible, but since I volunteer at the hospital and walk back downtown rather than wait 30 minutes for the next available bus I would appreciate easier walking. I know it doesn't get done often (if ever) because my husband and I walked back from the hospital at 6:00 AM one Saturday morning last winter and at that time it was treacherous walking. I did not report it at that time because by the time I got home I was tired and wanted nothing more than to get some sleep. Today reminded me of that journey. I will be walking that was very often as I am volunteer at the hospital 2 -3 days each week.
