I wonder if the game warden ever checks up on these folks.

The bigger issue with fishing off bridges is the random boaters that get caught. Nothing better that a free facial piercing by a bloody fish hook. How the crowd will cheer! They almost caught me last year but luckily I had oars to defend myself.

So there needs to be trash cans on the bridge too that have an arrow pointing to the opening and say "put trash here" - and not only in english. Some just don't know any better, eh? Then NHPD has to write littering summonses when they don't follow instructions. That's the theme today. Operation crackhead crackdown.

First off, 99% of people that actually get off their @#$% and go fishing arent crackheads. Secondly, yes, the NHPD should tell them to scram like they have always done.

The littering is a problem in all of New Haven, this may be the littering capitol of the whole country. I ask of people that have lived here their whole lives WHY do people think anyplace besides a garbage can is a place to put garbage?

The big picture here is that city cops(I know) as well as game wardens(I suppose) can write tickets all day long and it goes into the states bank account. This is wrong and does nothing to help local municipalities AT ALL. If New haven cops could write tickets to these @#$% and actually reap the benefits of the revenue they could clean up this dirty hole we live in(no offense east rockers).

Not for anything but don't think somebody getting a ticket gives a rats a** where the money goes. No offense to you M. For those that don't know any better and toss garbage and fish heads and whatever, wherever, you have to start with the basics. You do something wrong, you pay. If it happens enough times, the person learns their lesson (generally). Really, focusing on the big picture is wrong. You have to micromanage this changing population until they "get it".

Why not ask the fisherman if they are going to clean up their mess? Enough folks man up and do as such, and the fishermen will get the message.

The cops can't do everything for you. Grow a pair...

The city should paint bike sharrows on those fish guts. It's such a harrowing ride from the fish guts back to Yale campus.

As you can see, I used to bark and chase cars too much, so mine were humanely removed at a young age. If I could "grow a pair", I would.
