I get that it is an "emergency" and all, but seriously, Front Street needs to get plowed. I can understand my little side street Lewis not getting plowed for a couple days but not Front St.

Look I understand your frustration but the city is doing the best they can. I work at Yale too. 2 years ago with all that snow I just walked the three miles to work. We need to be patient and recognize all of the hard work that public works does.

You do not know my physical disabilities or whether I have proper attire to make it three miles in three feet of snow, and it is unprofessional to suggest I do so. It's appropriate to say you're doing your best, and to indicate how much longer it will be, but have some compassion to stressed out tax payers worried about how to we are going to make it to work.

Additionally, I don't work for the city. I'm just another tax paying fair haven resident who also cannot drive to work. So my opinion is neither unprofessional in any manner nor should not be misconstrued as a response from the city.

Wow! I'm amaazed that so soon into this enormous snow storm that people are already complaining. Most streets are not plowed yet! Give Public Works a break! They're human beings & can only so so much. We're ALL VERY inconvenienced by Mother Nature. It's no one's fault. It's LIFE!

I understand everyone here, it takes time to plow, plus have to remember it's 30+ inches, too much snow for a normal plow to do. Which is why the payloaders went through first, but guess what I live on front st, and I SAW a payloader stuck for almost 20 minutes last night in the snow, and another payloader trying to get him out. So yeah, even these are getting stuck. Now as of right now, if they sent a normal plow through front st, just once, I think our one lane of traffic (which will end up causing a crash I have seen some close one's already) will be safe enough to drive. I want to be able to go to work tomorrow, so hopefully it can be done.

Also, if someone from the city is reading these, a suggestion, for the time being turn front st into one way traffic, so we can avoid possible accidents. It would be better if they stayed off the road, true, but we also know people won't do that. And some people can't. If we turn it into a one way, say from grand to middletown ave (just have police put up signs) I think it would be better for a few days, AND then front st might not be a rush anymore, just one plow to clean it off, then make it one way, we have access, they can then worry about lombard which hasn't been touched yet. And then finish us off like tuesday or wednesday.

I agree with Frontsperson... Please make one way towards Middletown Ave. It is wayyyy toooo dangerous right now! Cars are meeting head on every few minutes, getting stuck and/or backing up the entire way. Many people out walking as well. Recipe for disaster. It would be nice if people could just stay home for a couple of days and not feel the need to drive around. Where are you going????

I'm surprised that the snow emergency work is considered completed. Lexington Ave. is still a mess! Plowing on the "odd # side didn't get done. So, we still have a good deal of snow on both sides. Neighbors have done their best but it seems as though lexington Ave. between Grand & Aner was forgotten.
